Shilpa Shetty Kundra is an Indian actress who has begun her career with Baazigar. The movie was a great hit and brought her many accolades including two Filmfare Awards. Well, this was just the beginning, she went on to get cast in many hit Bollywood movies like Main Khiladi Tu Anadi, Jaanwar, Dhadkan, Rishtey and Phir Milenge.
In 2006, she participated in reality shows and was made to judge the dance program Jhalak Dikhla Jaa, Shilpa received lots of appreciation for her conduct and judging style and was one of the favorites. In 2007, Shilpa was surrounded by controversies when she was a participant in the TV show Big Brother, as her fellow contestant used some racist comments against her. She judged other reality shows like Nach Baliye and Zara Nach ke Dikha.
Shilpa has been working for several causes. She participated in the BBC World Service Trust television show to generate awareness about HIV-AIDS. Also, because this cause has stirred up her thoughts since she acted in Phir Milenge and portrayed a young lady battling HIV. In 2006, she joined the cause of protecting animals and participated in a campaign for PETA .
