Madhuri Dixit Nene is an actress, dancer, producer and TV personality. She has received umpteen awards for her career spanning over 3 decades. Madhuri is also the proud recipient of ‘Padma Shri’ awarded by the Government of India in 2008.

She did her first movie in 1984 ‘Abodh’ but her career took a swift turn when her romantic-action movie Tezaab became a box-office hit in 1988. The following films like Ram Lakhan, Tridev and Parinda made her a Bollywood sensation and she rules the hearts of millions, people waited in long queues just to catch a glimpse of the actress. Her portrayal of a strong woman in beta and the girl next door in Hum Aapke Hain Kaun won her several accolades and Filmfare awards. In films like ‘Devdas’ and ‘dedh Ishqiya’ , her character was designed to showcase her dancing skills also.

She has appeared as a judge in dance reality shows and have been actively involved in several philanthropic activities with UNICEF and Government of India. She frequently participates in stage shows, tours. She co-founded a production company and married Shriram Nene in 1999. Following her marriage, she move to the U.S but came back to Mumbai.
