From the Kumaon range of The Himalayas, we have an actor in Disha Patani, born on June 13, 1992 to a police officer and a health inspector. Her sister is an officer of Indian Army.

Disha kicked off her career in a Telugu film which unfortunately was a commercial disappointment but in her following assignment, a music video with Tiger Shroff, Befiqra, kept her afloat. Then came the break. She played the character of Priyanka Jha in MS Dhoni: The Untold Story. The Dhoni biopic was followed by Jackie Chan’s Kung Fu Yoga which went on become the biggest commercial success for all Chinese films till date.

Between 2016 and now she has starred in a number of successful films, Baaghi 2 and Baaghi 3, as also in Malang by Mohit Suri, opposite Aditya Roy Kapoor.

Her performance in the Dhoni biopic won her a number of nominations and awards and currently she is shooting for KTina and Radhe, the latter being directed by Prabhu Deva.

She has also starred in Bharat as one of the leading actresses in the Salman Khan starrer.
