One of of the finds of the last decade, Zareen Khan was born on May 14, 1987. She made her debut with Salman Khan in Veer, based on the Pindari movement, playing the role of Yashodhara. She reportedly gained 8 kgs of weight to look a Rajasthani princess. The film did not do well, in fact her performance was considered by critics to be below or just average but she won the Zee Cine Award for Best Female debut. However, playing “character Dheela” item for her next film Ready got her the offers. After her success in Housefull, she went on to act in Tamil, Telugu and Punjabi films.

Zareen has also played Showstopper on the ramp modeling for a jewellery brand. Despite having acted in almost 15 films in various languages till date she still has not been able to really establish herself and to quote a critic, which sums up her performance, ”Zareen Khan is strictly okay and though she is sizzling, it’s done just for the heck of it. She tries to be the female Emraan Hashmi but it doesn’t work for her. Performance-wise, she doesn’t give her best shot.”
