Zis Boom Bah

When Grace Hayes, a vaudeville star, who has been on the road for a long time just so that she can support her son and the wealthy family who shunned her, decides to take a break and pay a surprise visit to check in on her son at college, she is in for a shock. The college, led by the kind hearted Dean (Richard Gallagher), was struggling to sustain itself and young kids, including her son, would soon be bereft of an education. Mrs Hayes puts a plan in motion by buying off the local diner and hoping that she could get the college kids come there and start off a show quite like the ones she was a star of herself. Perhaps this would make them enough money to keep the college going. But clearly, all this was easier said that done. Will her grand plan work? Or was the college doomed from the start?
