Waterfront

When Dr Carl Decker (J Carrol Nash), an optometrist in the city of San Francisco was taking a walk at the waterfront one night, he gets mugged and the thief runs away with his diary. But that diary was extremely important because it was indeed a decoder book – Dr Decker was a Nazi spy. And when Victor Marlow (John Carradine) turns up from Berlin with the next mission, Dr Decker cannot comprehend the message without his book. And thus begins a wild hunt for the book before Berlin realise he’s no good to them anymore, and before the American authorities discover who he really is.
