Two Weeks to Live

When Abner Peabody (Norris Goff), the owner of a small general store in Pine Ridge, Arkansas, inherits stock bonds to the C&O Railroad, he and his store partner, Lum Edwards (Chester Lauck) are beside themselves with joy since the Chicago and Ohio Railroad would mean big business. Raising money from the town folk to buy land to build the railroad, the two men discover that they had inherited worthless stocks of a local dilapidated railroad, abbreviated to C&O. On top of that, after a fall off some building stairs, and owing to a mix up at the doctor’s office, Abner is believed to be dying with only 2 weeks to live – 2 weeks to do impossible jobs to raise enough money to pay back the people of Pine Ridge. A laugh-a-minute marathon, an absolute classic of a movie.
