Maachis

This is based around 1984 riots and the consequences. After Mrs. Gandhi’s assassination, many innocent Sikhs were killed. And the police department was under tremendous pressure to catch the culprits. At that time, the police caught innocent Sikhs who had nothing to do with the riots and brutally treated them. So, people began to come together and form their own groups, in order to stand against the regime. Maachis is the story of a family who was targeted for no reason and then they take up the cause in their own hands and join an extremist group to avenge their love one.
