Mr. Srivastava is a rich businessman with two sons: Mahendra and Sunder. Mahendra is elder and helps his father in the business. Sunder is younger and is still studying in college. Mr. Srivastava often insults Mahendra and behaves rudely with him. This makes Mahendra furious at times. But, Mr. Srivastava is extremely nice to Sunder and showers love on him always. Mahendra goes to Calcutta for some work, but we find out that Mahendra was already in love with a girl who works in his office. After Mahendra leaves, Mr. Srivastava doubts Seema’s intentions and insults her. Sunder helps the girl to meet his brother but the story takes a turn when they find that Mahendra is a drunkard now and loves and in love with a courtesan, Rani.
