Thakur is a righteous man who has a daughter named Chanda. On receiving a marriage proposal from a lawyer’s house, they agree to get Chanda married in the family. Thakur makes it very clear to the lawyer that his family won’t be able to pay any money as dowry. So, when the family’s expectations of receiving a hefty amount from Thakur’s family doesn’t materializes, the marriage comes at the verge of being cancelled. However, the groom accepts the girl without and dowry and the wedding does happen. After a few days the girl’s mother-in-law begins harassing the girl for dowry and she is then blamed for the misfortune of the family.
