Bandit Queen

The movie is inspired from the true events that occurred with Phoolan Devi – who was married off at the age of 11 and was raped and continuously humiliated by her husband. She returned home but the humiliation by the upper caste members of the village never let her forget that her fate is dark, just because she is a woman. Later, she is sexually harassed by policemen and dacoits as well. She grows out of the trauma and forms her own gang to avenge those who have harassed her.
