Sudip and Chhayya work in the same office. Both of them belong to lower middle class in Mumbai and stay in shared apartments with relatives or friends. Soon, they are in love with each other and decide to marry. They want to have a house of their own and they save every penny possible to achieve their goal. They finally invest in a house and are extremely happy that they managed to get a home for themselves. But the builder turns out to be a fraud. This comes as a great shock to the couple, they don’t know how to start everything from the very beginning. Meanwhile, Mr. Modi who is also the owner of the organisation proposes Chhaya for marriage. Thinking about Mr. Modi’s condition, Sunil suggests that Chhaya must get married to him and after a few months when he is dead, they can have his property. After much reluctance, Chhaya agrees.
