Whispering City

When a dying old woman tells the reporter Mary Roberts (Mary Anderson) about how an old murder was written off by an accident, the young journalist tries to put the pieces together and find the true killer. Little did she know that he was none other than the famous lawyer and patron of the arts, Albert Frederic (Paul Lukas), who was already trying to get the drunk music composer, Michael Lacoste (Helmut Dantine) to kill Mary Roberts for exchange of representation in his wife’s suicide, which the lawyer convinced Lacoste as a drunken murder.
